The impact of human activities – both direct (coastal exploitation, maritime traffic) and indirect (climate change) – are threatening this small oasis of biodiversity and naturality. Its ecosystems provide important services to Nature and thus to humans, but they are still poorly known and considered. Thus, for understanding the importance and the benefits provided by natural ecosystems of the Bay, the first step is to know them. The aim of this questionnaire is to make Smart Bay users aware about the ecosystems of the bay and the benefits they provide to Nature and thus to humans. This project of public engagement has been designed by ENEA in collaboration with the University of Pavia and aims to estimate the benefits, including the monetary ones, deriving from interventions to keep the naturally of the bay and protect its biodiversity.
